This is a private billing practice, fees are discussed in person, a standard consultation lasts 50 minutes, with no extra charges for new patients. You do not need a GP referral to see a Clinical Psychologist. If you have ancillary cover through your private health fund, you may be able access rebates for psychological services.
Medicare rebates apply to the consultation fee if you have been referred by your GP or Psychiatrist and have been given a Mental Health Care Plan. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan you will be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $138.50 for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
Unfortunately, if less than 48 hours notice (business days) is given, a cancellation fee of 100% of your session fee will be incurred. This fee is not subject to a Medicare or private health fund rebate.
Payment can be made through EFTPOS or cash.
If you do not have a current Mental Health Care Plan through your GP but you do have private health insurance, you may be able access rebates for psychological services.
